He never knew why she chose that name but she always had a hard time pronouncing his real name.) [style=width:459px; height: 20px; border-radius: 10px; background-color: F6F6F6; font-family: arial; color: #B6BABB; font-size: 16px; font-wieght: bold; text-transform: uppercase; text-align: center;]we all wear masks, i can see you have one as well[/style] APPEARANCE | Naoto stays in his undercover uniform. What is that exactly? A military officer's uniform to be exact. His line of work is dangerous, especially affiliating himself with the rebels. During the day he pledges himself to the would be utopia while at night he conspires to burn it to the ground. For his rank and division, Naoto wears a blue jacket, lined with a red material. This color signifies his ranking of a junior officer. Naoto dislikes wearing the coat in the typical fashion, and usually leaves his arms out of the sleeves. The coat is adorned with a few academy medals and buckles here and there. In addition to the officer coat, Naoto also wears a pair of white prestigious gloves that signifies the purity of the Utopian world that he is tasked to help form. Likewise, he wears a white Gi underneath, a personal piece of attire that coincides with the Nationality and Military Uniform Standards Act. A pair of jet black boots that reach his knees complete his military uniform |
II Life didn't get much better in America. Naoto's family was constantly moving, often living in their own vehicles on the move and away from war. There was only so far that a family could travel before everything caught up. During the final days of the war, Naoto's mother and father entrusted him with one of the families he had been traveling with. They were the Ravenhold family who had only two remaining members themselves. The two Akemi parents returned home to Japan in order to return to their own research in the medical facilities that only Japan had in order to conduct research against the chemical weapons. Naoto would never remember his parent's faces again for himself. He was given a pocket watch with a small family portrait cut and neatly taped inside its cover.
III Naoto quickly picked up on English with the Ravenhold family. The mother and daughter were always friendly to the Akemi family. They were actually the first family they had met when they had first arrived in America. The war was soon over, however recovery and disaster reconstruction efforts had begun. These reconstruction efforts would be quite different. The world would turn in to a paradise. A world free of fear. A world where you would live protected. Naoto could never believe such a world. All healthy and remaining citizens were rounded up and quickly separated in to camps by the new government. The Empire. Naoto always remembered that day when the trucks came. The military officers pushing and shoving crying families apart. He remembered that Ms. Ravenhold had told him and Danielle to keep close. It didn't happen. All three were separated and all Naoto's eyes could remember watching were his hands being forced apart from Danielle's. Her mother had rushed to try and keep them together, however was subdued and injected with some sort of needle.
IV Naoto vowed to somehow seek justice for everything. To create a world that was fair and not governed by one voice. One stupid voice. In his teenage years, Naoto had decided to enlist in the Honorary Citizenship program. It allowed thriving youth to devote themselves further to the empire by committing to their military or political programs. The young teen never had a golden tongue for speech, so he had opt'd to seek the military path.
V Advancing in the military program with his extreme prowess and intuition for strategy, Naoto joined the officer's academy in short time. He was one of three child prodigies from the Honorary Citizenship program. Of course Naoto didn't care for this at all. He kept that fake face and smile on while secretly plotting everything in his mind. No notes, no written evidence. It would only remain in his mind. He would overthrow the lies that was this Utopia. His graduating mission was something he was not ready for though. It was a mission that would forge a new bond and family for years to come. He was merely eighteen. Eighteen when he was thrown in to the wings of a real mission. The military operation called Tidal Wave was initiated. The operation was based on reports of rebel and insurgent groups beginning to sprout. What was their job? To interrogate and capture any citizens caught conspiring within sector seventeen. Sector seventeen was known to be an area with 'high tolerance' to the high order of the empire.
VI His orders were clear, to capture and interrogate rebels. All efforts to ensure a live capture were to be taken in to consideration, however self defense could be an excusable cause in a martial court of law. The idea sent chills up his spine, however Naoto knew this was his time to set a new gear of his plan in to motion. Storming the apartment complex on a tip received by the military intelligence crew, Naoto broke down a door in to apartment thirteen. He had encountered only two there. A younger girl, most likely in her teens and a man with a gruff beard. At first, the three simply stared...and stared...and stared. Naoto was at a loss for words, however knew his data feed was being monitored by communication officials. He couldn't remember it all. It was just a blur. All that his mind wanted to play back were a few muttered words back and forth before mumbles turned to shouting. The man had rushed him, knocking him to the ground. The teen was still in shock over everything, however chance had it that his data feed from his goggles was broken in the tussle. In light of this, Naoto had urged the two to find shelter. Seeing this as only a trap, the man had thrust Naoto against the wall, ready to bash his skull in, however green eyes were able to convey his sincerity. Before being let down from the death grip, a fellow military officer had found his way to the apartment. Naoto knew that wasn't in the plan and the fellow officer incapacitated the man with a stun dart from his wrist mounted gadget. Naoto could only look at the horrified girl, trembling as another dart sprang from the gadget. The man's body jerked and twisted as if being tortured. That drug...that dart. He knew it all too well. The rebel man's body began to fall limp. It was then he made his move, using the crumpled man's body, he thrust it towards the other officer to set him off balance. Ripping his goggles from his face and smashing them, Naoto took the closest object he could find and knocked the teen unconscious. It was only days later that he found out the officer had ended up in a coma. How pitiful. The military report of the incident was nothing short of his own words and lies. With no data feed from the goggles, they only were able to believe his words.
VII The girl who was trembling was somewhat of a timid character at first. Naoto only felt her grasp around his neck as she cried her eyes out over the man's body and basically death sentence from the dart. Naoto shuddered to think of that drug and its effects. He only presumed that the man was family somehow. It was there that he found something. Something on the ground within the tussle. It was a crystal pendant. Asking the girl's name, she simply shook her head. The teen girl had no name. The man who was with her was simply a guardian. The teen hadn't had a name since the round up of citizens in the Great Cleansing. Naoto gave the girl the pendant, presumably from the previous owners of the apartment. Crystal was her name. Naoto vowed to be her new guardian and protector. A brother for her. Crystal lead him to the rebel resistance and Naoto knew his place. He was hesitant to work with others on his plans and wasn't sure they would accept him either. Tensions were always high when he was around. Many thought of him to be a spy for the Empire.
VIII Naoto spent his time with the rebels, working with them to disrupt Empire activities and the like. Exchanging information, plotting 'terrorist' attacks and the like. His double life then fully began. One life with the empire's military, and the other with the rebel resistance. He knew his loyalties first and foremost. Crystal first. Then the freedom of all citizens under the Empire.
